Kimberly-Clark Corporation has donated funds to support field trips at the Paper Discovery Center. This ensures an outstanding quality at an affordable price.
Field trips are customized to match the curriculum and age of the group, from pre-K to college. Multiple rotations include a mix of hands-on activities, guided inquiry, and demonstrations. By deploying a range of learning styles (auditory, visual, kinesthetic, etc) all students stay engaged throughout their visit. Our staff members, as well as many of our volunteers, have STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) degrees and experience working in the paper industry, as well as experience as classroom educators.
Our group visits provide informal learning opportunities which enhance classroom instruction and etch the curriculum content into long term memory through a vivid, fun, experience.
